Courtney Barber has extensive experience developing business and raising capital for financial firms. Courtney is responsible for Independent Life’s direct and indirect sales efforts as well as developing strategic partnerships with trial attorneys throughout the United States. Courtney is also the co-host of the hit podcast, “Settlement Nation”.

Prior to joining Independent Life, Courtney helped manage capital raises for high-growth, unlisted companies in the largest equity crowdfunding platform in Australia, The Australian Small Scale Offerings Board (ASSOB). For over 10 years, Courtney oversaw all company and shareholder communications and assisted in raising $140 million for clients through targeted sales and marketing initiatives. In 2016, she was a nominee for the Telstra Australian Young Businesswoman of the Year award.

Courtney studied the Bachelor of Science from the University of Southern Queensland in Australia and is currently earning her Masters of Business Administration from Central Queensland University.  She also completed the Yale School of Management Women’s Leadership Program in 2020 and is a Certified Life Coach.
